What the HPC does
The Historic Preservation Commission reviews exterior work in Savannah’s other local historic districts outside downtown, such as the Victorian, Thomas Square Streetcar and Cuyler-Brownville districts. It issues Certificates of Appropriateness for alterations, new construction, fences, roofs, siding, signs and demolition, after the MPC’s preservation staff review each petition. This site follows each petition from the agenda through to the decision recorded in the official minutes.
